The Curry Company

The Curry Company began as a worldwide hotel and resort consulting company that was founded in 1991 by John Foster Curry (1930-2008), CHA, a lifelong hospitality/resort industry professional and a leader in local, state, national and international tourism and accommodations forums. His long career included positions at Yosemite National Park  and The Curry Company; Director of Hotels for Disney; Vice President of the Sea Pines Resorts, and later founder and owner of Sand Dollar Management, managing resorts in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida.

Along the way John mentored many young men and women who later became industry leaders in their own right. Among them was Sharon Gordon, who was named a partner in The Curry Company in 1992. Sharon founded and developed a separate, highly profitable division that specialized in providing high quality meeting planning services. Ms. Gordon subsequently purchased her interest in The Curry Company and became the sole owner of the Meeting Management division. Following the untimely passing of John Curry in 2008, the division has continued under The Curry Company name.
